What is a gong bath?
A gong bath is an immersive meditation experience and a unique sound practice where a variety of gongs, mallets and other instruments to create sounds & vibrations to bring about deep relaxation. Gongs are a sacred and powerful instrument that have been used for thousands of years with the power to provide a deep sense of relaxation and a sense of peace & tranquillity in the mind & body.
Are gong baths suitable for everyone?
As a Gong Practitioner, I follow certain guidelines to ensure your safety and comfort. Therefore, I am unable to provide a gong bath to:

anyone who is in their first trimester of pregnancy

anyone with a pacemaker
-
anyone with severe epilepsy
-
anyone with severe osteoporosis
-
anyone who has had any recent hip/joint operations
-
anyone who has had a broken bone within the last 6 weeks
I may not be able to provide you with a gong bath if you:
-
experience tinnitus or you are particularly sensitive to sound
-
have any other hearing impairments that are affected by sound
Please contact me to discuss any of the above prior to your session.
Do I need any experience before I attend a gong bath?
You don’t need any experience at all. All I ask is that you come along with an open mind and allow yourself the time to pause, breathe and just be.
What do I need to bring?
Yoga studio sessions:

all the studios have their own yoga mats, bolsters and blankets. However, I would recommend you bring along anything you would need to ensure you are warm and cosy throughout.

Things you might want to bring could include but not limited to: blankets, pillows, eye mask, fluffy socks. ow

Village hall sessions:

for these sessions you will be required to bring your own mat and anything else you would need to ensure you are warm and cosy throughout.

Things you might want to bring could include but not limited to: blankets, pillows, eye mask, fluffy socks.

Private sessions:

you will not need to bring anything as I will provide all the cosy comforts you should need.
What should I wear?
There are no requirements for what you should wear to a session. All I ask is that you wear something comfortable and cosy.
